Shahzad Asim was born on 22 January 2003 in Shelek village, Almaty region (Kazakhstan). From a young age, the boy was interested in creativity. Already in his school years he actively participated in various vocal contests and festivals. Shahzad was brought up by his maternal grandmother, as he lost his father in childhood and his mother entrusted the upbringing of her son to his grandmother. Shahzad's father was also a musician in his time, and in one of his interviews the singer says that he inherited this gift from his father. At the moment Shahzad lives and works in Almaty. His songs have found their listeners among a wide Kazakh-Uyghur audience.
