Vaarwell is a London based indie-electronic duo. They met in high school in Lisbon, Portugal, whilst studying music production when they were both 16, and were drawn by each other’s musical background. Margarida’s haunting vocals and intricate melodies, along with Ricardo’s unique alt-pop, electronica and hip-hop influenced production have turned heads, receiving radio support from Sirius XM, BBC Radio 1, Radio 6 Music, NHK (JPN) and P3 Sveriges (SE). They’ve also found online support from DSP Editorials such as Spotify's "Fresh Finds", "New Pop Revolution" and "Golden Hour" and Apple Music's "The Late Night Menu" and "Loops", amongst others, as well as critical acclaim from various outlets including Complex, Earmilk and Stereogum. The band has seen their streaming numbers grow over the last couple of years with their latest EP 'consume & grow' (released in June) reaching over 400K streams across all platforms, and a collab with Xinobi, "Far Away Place", hitting 13M streams (original + remixes) on Spotify alone. The track earned them placements on GTA 5 online and Netflix's original series "Trinkets" and “Far Away Place (Jody Wisternoff & James Grant remix)” was the most played track on Sirius XM chill in 2018. In the same year, they were also invited to be part of the soundtrack of Phillipe Starck's exhibition at Groninger Museum (Netherlands). The duo has toured around Europe and played festivals like SXSW (USA), Waves Vienna (AT), NOS Alive (PT), Rock in Rio (PT) and Vodafone Paredes de Coura (PT).
