Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts / Burn The Heretic Speakers A whiff from the past, this track dates back to 2004 or 2005. It was done in my home studio in Montreal on Boyer Street (sorry neighbours!!). At the time I was doing Egg with Julien Roy and Luci with David Fafard, but I started to mess around with gospel vocals in my own compositions. A few days before doing this track, I woke up win the middle of the night smelling smoke. Something was burning. It turns out that there was a short cut in my mixer and that my speakers received a super strong signal for too long… so much so that the woofers actually caught on fire. Hence the title.
