Butterfly

"This is the first piece I wrote that I was really happy with. I remember secretly typing this out under my desk as a secondary 4 student in RGS, while the teacher was lecturing in class. No prizes for guessing which Ravel piece I was working on as I composed this (it’s the Sonatine)! The premiere of it took place when I played this as encore for my first recital in Italy in 2012. I learnt how to announce my encore in Italian for that."
