Mazi & Duriez - This is Not A Follow-Up (Laurent Maldo Remix)

Back in the end of the nineties, i was starting my label Brique Rouge when i received an email from Chicago (yes emails were already a thing at that time) from Mazi who was interrested in getting music from me for his label Afterhours. And that's how we met in the first place, before becoming some of the best friends in the world. Mazi's home was my headquarter when i was in the US and the same for him in Paris. So naturally we started collaborate behind the decks and in the studio. This one is one the last track we did together and obsviously this was not a follow-up to our best known track "Chicago A Wake Up Call". This track has already been remixed a few times by some legends as Peace Division or Silicone Soul but 20 years later it is none other than the great frenchman Laurent Maldo that gives it a go. And i must say the result is very pleasing.
