As far as i remember, the first time i heard about Hardfloor was on Rising High Records compilation called The Secret Life Of Trance in 1993. Of course it was Acperience One, their very own tribute to Phuture's Acid Tracks and the title that would propulse them into House Music Hall of Fame. That was day one for me as i discovered that Acid House was not only coming from Chicago and London but also from...Düsseldorf ! Hardfloor are Oliver Bondzio and Ramon Zenker, the guy who did the rave classic "Who Is Elvis" among other of smash hits. The pair are experts, if not Gods, in the handling of Roland's little silver box TB-303 and they spent all their carreer (and still doing so) releasing acid stuff, tracks and remixes, always re-inventing themselves for more than 3 decades now. At the end of the 90's, the acid sound had almost disappeared from parties and House records. Even Hardfloor released a more conventional album (Beavis at Bat) at that time. But it was not over of course and i'm glad i played a role in the early 2000 acid revival with my label Brique Rouge and Phil Weeks Robsoul Recordings. Our House sound was all about acid when it was not decided if TB-303 was cool again or not. Then Hardfloor released on their own label an unexpected track, properly named "The Revival" which was the nail in the coffin regarding the return of the Acid House sound. So what happened next ? I bring them to Paris for two legendaries parties called Kill Brique where they smashed the club, i licensed The Revival to my label and remixed it with long-time friend Llorca (Art Of Tones) then released a few other Hardfloor records. But this was not enough for me so i asked them to remix one of my track and they actually said yes ! To be honnest as a musician it's a great feeling and reward to be remixed and supported by your favorite artists, those who are responsible for a part of your music. Influences and inspiration. So here it is for the first time in NFT, the Hardfloor Remix of my track On My Elbows released in 2004 on a x 1000 limited edition vinyl. I'm so glad to get this minted on the blockchain forever.
