Road To Tamezret

It's 1995, early Dr Olive tracks are being produced with a S-1000 sampler, a Mac II-cx (1991 model) running a Cubase sequencer (could afford no DAW back then) and an Alesis Midiverb4 multi-effect, all through a small Soundcraft desk. Master was mixed down on a DAT cassette. Miraculously, some of those cassettes were kept safe for 22 years (moved house 9 times!) until I decided in 2017 to get my hands again on one of those DAT decks to read them and hear what was stored, so the contents could be extracted and finally saved on a hard drive. I could hardly remember how I did this track, it was never released on any media, until 2021 when the label Virtua94 Records, ran from Philly by 2 activists of the Vaporwave scene, also fans of vintage XXth century electronic/dance music (them guys born themselves in the 90's!), answered positively to my submission of 9 tracks, all from the 95-99 period, mostly not-to-be-found or hard-to-find, like only on limited 12" EPs now sold out. Road To Tamezret is the opening track to an album reissue on an analog cassette tape entitled "Rare, Medium Rare, Well Done - Album 1: 1995​-​99", released in aug. 2021.
