INNO (aka Giovanni Ferretti) was born in Tuscany IT. The love for music manifests itself soon with the approach to the piano at the age of seven. From now on, classical music is also accompanied by interest for contemporary music. He attends the “F. Petrarca "of Arezzo when, at the age of 14, he begins to use synthesizers and to create his own little Home Recording studio, where he will learn to play also other instruments of contemporary pop music and will give life to his first small compositions. Giovanni, with his baggage of classical studies and love for contemporary music, begins to explore and a look for plays where these two worlds could coexist and complete each other: he is interested in Art Rock in all of his forms, from the beginning to the present day. In 2009 he began the “Luigi Cherubini” Conservatory in Florence, attending the Electronic Music course, where he learns the radical techniques of concrete, gestural, minimal, acousmatic and electronic music, taking an interest to electroacoustic and multimedia composition and to the processing of live sounds through systems of object-oriented programming. At the same time he is interested in the world of underground electronic music. In 2010 he began his musical partnership with Sycamore Age working as a multi-instrumentalist on the songs they will do part of the first album "Sycamore Age", which will be released by Santeria / Audioglobe in March 2012. The album is promoted and exported in Gas, France and Benelux through Rough Trade Distribution obtaining a excellent sales and critical success. In the meantime he finished his studies at the L. Cherubini Conservatory, graduating with the highest marks, presenting a compositional work called "Due Strutture, Un Unico Disegno", composition quadraphonic that explores the limits of compositional structures by examining space as a compositional parameter. In September 2011 Giovanni creates a Live Audio Video Mapping performance with his collaborator N. Franceschini for a promotional event organized by the herbalist "Ape Contadina" during the Saffron Festival a Città Della Pieve (PG), the project is called "DANAE 2.0". In April 2012 he presented the video "ALONE" at the event "The Body, the Light, the Sound", organized by the Conservatory of Florence in collaboration with New York University, which was also reproduced at the Perugia Conservatory. In May 2012 he sonorises the photographic exhibition of the artist Enzo Ragazzini and realizes the soundtrack in documentary "In The Light: Serendipity" where the artist talks about himself. In December 2013 he released "Hard Dreamers EP" with the Fortezza Records label. The vinyl was released WorldWide on deejay.de, Decks Records, Juno Records and in many other stores. In 2016 he sonorises the exhibition of the TATRAS brand on the occasion of Milan Fashion Week at the Circolo Della Stampa in Milan. In the same year, together with his friend Gioele Giacopelli, he meets Cem Orlow with whom they will collaborate for the Berlin label Soundscapes Records, performing in their first showcase together with Kater Blau in Berlin.
