Neptune is about the feeling before coming apart. About this moment where you realize that you lose the other, where that person goes further and further from you and you can’t find a way back to them. You have forgotten how you got into this storm, but you cannot make it ebb. Whatever the heart says, it’s too late. A separation is going to happen. This is the last step, the last planet before going out of the solar system. A planet where the storms are the size of our world. "The other" could of course also be someone that you find in front of a mirror. The ingredients used to translate the feeling are simple, ridden of any superfluous elements. First, there is the aerial voice of Mathieu Saïkaly, alone or mixed with several additional voice layers, like a misty veil. A nervous but soft guitar, like the impacts of the raindrops from a squall on the sea. And lastly a few notes from a kalimba, to crystallize the mixture.
