Prophet's Tribe is a french progressive techno duet initiated in 2020 by DJ akira and J-B Lore in Nice, French Riviera. It is a father-son project pushed up by the austerity of the confinement context with a necessity of artistic renewal in a familial and passionated creation process.DJ Akira encountered the world of techno music more than 30 years ago. He was then, in the 90's, a DJ membre of the parties "Soirées Prophecy", organised by the "Prophet's Tribe" collective. He played all accross the country, inspired by Italian, Belgian and German influences. As a DJ, his sets was often constructed in a combination of progressive and Goa trance, techno music with a subbtle touch of exhilarating acid loops. He stoped playing in 1997, the year of J-B's birth. This project is for him a great opportunity to share his experience and go back to the roots.Author-composer, singer and multi-instrumentist (guitar, bass, oud, drum, synths, saxophone, flute), J-B Lore was born passionated about music. Long unloved by the musical institutions, he learned by himself and with the precious assistance of private teachers. Initially mainly intersted by rock and heavy metal music, he constructed with time an interest for jazz, classical music, popular music, electronic and finally everything existing, completing his education in 2020 with a master thesis in musicology. As a Phd student, he also recently gave "history of jazz" lessons at Nice university. Prophets tribe take on "In Orbit" starts off with a catchy bassline that compliments the main groove and progresses nicely with the classic acid sound. Fit for any dj set.
