The Sierra Leone Prinia lives in pairs and small groups in the wooded hills of Sierra Leone, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia and Guinea, feeding on insects and other invertebrates and occasionally sitting out in the open to sing. The species is classified as 'Endangered' and its most urgent threat is clearance of forest for commercial logging, small scale agriculture and for mining for iron ore.
