Biography

Being at the forefront of Ukrainian electronic music for almost two decades Alexander Pavlenko successfully continues to operate in a variety of styles.Born in Dnipro, Alexander began his musical experiments in the late 90s and quickly made a name for himself under the Sunchase moniker with a series of prominent releases. Those included appearances on such iconic imprints as Moving Shadow and DSCI4. Later on tracks by Sunchase were signed to Metalheadz, Med School and numerous other labels, culminating in the critically acclaimed “Static Nitro” album release. After moving to Kyiv, Alexander expands his musical output with new genres and his style obtains much more depth, while retaining its cutting edge sound. During these years he started Kvadrat and 22:22 labels, opened his studio and also became one of the founding members of Rhythm Büro. The latter eventually became widely known far outside Ukraine not only as an event brand, but also as a musical imprint which features some of his works under the freshly established Na Nich alias. At this point most of the efforts were focused on live performances and he was able to showcase his act all across Europe as well as appear on Svreca’s Semantica Records. Now an accomplished techno and breakbeat producer Alexander is a sought after mastering engineer with a solid portfolio of releases and projects to envy. His creativity has touched not only the dance floors and music collections: some of the tracks can be heard in the games by Rockstar Games and Sony Computer Entertainment as well. The love for analog gear has led him to establishing a small, but respectable collection of synths and pedals most of which are touring with him as a part of his highly regarded live setup. Not being the one to rest on his laurels, Alexander always looks forward with his music and regardless of the genre you can expect a trademark groove and engineering perfection only a few are able to match.
