Why i don't make my own version of Alan Parsons Sirius? That's was i was thinking on a peaceful day swimming on the pool. Been thinking the whole weekend on that fantastic summer day, it´s really hard to avoid an idea like that that comes suddenly. Maybe the most difficult was how to make an approach to a track like Sirius, is perfect in its own way, how was created and the proposal it has but the mind of a musician tries to complete those that it believes that is incomplete for his point of view. I Spent a time choosing the musical context to be created, the kind of instrumentation, synthesizers, percussion, etc, once i had chosen all that i start with the structure, trying to be respectful with the original to the most so on the main three minutes i recreate the original track with some structural changes. Everything else comes very easy, was a natural progression, the track asks badly for those new part, a new development comes on a very fluid way, wasn´t difficult to fit a new orchestral strings ensemble. The electric guitar was played by the Mexican Group “The Menzia” They are in the cosmic mood, really close to the Astrolead philosophy and they was the ones to do the job. And for the bass line, something really critical to make Sirius even more epic. I always trust an old label friend, Slync, he captures the concept at first. Well, I hope you enjoy Sirius as much as i do.
