Standing In The Dark III

‘Standing In The Dark’ was born in early 2019, self-recorded and produced by Niki Moss.. and then more recently reborn four more times upon Moss uncovering just how many musical explorations the song could evoke. After hitting the ground running with ‘Standing In The Dark II’, a soaring and dramatic re-imagining of the original, reinforcing the overriding refrain of “You can call me any time you please / I’m all business if you want to trade / you shall bring me all the juice you can / I’ll be throwing in my shade” to breathtaking effect Moss found himself at his most inspired. He then embarked on a voyage of discovery to find out just how epic, psychedelic, electronic and aptly, dark, he could take a song which has always held a special place in his heart and mind. It’s a radical and bold approach, and one that has become a real labour of love, spawning further versions. This is version III.
