Fading Star (2021 edition)

This track is a new instrumental version of Fading Star, a song that was first released in 2012 by Color of Clouds, the electronic pop duo that I was part of alongside singer Kelli Scarr. You can find the original version on Spotify and other music sites; we released it ourselves as part of an EP called Nine of Arrows. The underlying mood of the album was inspired by sci-fi soundtracks from the 80s, and I've always thought that the synth-heavy instrumental tracks stood on their own as short cinematic scores - they started out as instrumentals, after all. Now, nearly 10 years later, I've been revisiting the tracks and made this new version of Fading Star - I think it's the perfect track to make into my first music NFT. The visuals are by artist Barak Chamo, created specifically for this version of the song.
